Please find attached details of our Annual Gala Lunch, this year to be held in the beautiful surroundings of the Woodlands Park Hotel near Cobham.

We do hope you will be joining us for this important event at the end of the boating season when we celebrate the year drawing to a close, and look forward to the year to come.

This event is always around the time of Remembrance Day and this year it falls precisely on that day. Please don’t forget to wear your poppy in remembrance of all those who gave their lives for us.

Finally, please bring prizes for the grand raffle, which is key to helping us provide support to deserving Scouting causes. And please ensure you have some old fashioned bank notes so you can purchase lots of tickets for the raffle!

Dear All

It is ten years since the Club last travelled to The Thursford Christmas Spectacular, an amazing festive show on a grand scale that has no equal this side of the Atlantic!

As you will see from the attached flyer, we are planning one more Club visit – this coming year at the end of November.

The plan is to travel using a comfortable, modern self-drive minibus which we will hire for the event. This will be driven by Club member Greg Beardsall who, as you may know, drives coaches professionally. This is the cheapest, comfortable group-transport solution we can currently find.

Minibus spaces are of course limited so it will be first come first served. Group tickets for the show go on sale on 6th January and we plan to book ours then.

As you will see, the price includes everything except a bite to eat at lunchtimes, and entrance to Santa’s Magical Journey if you wish to visit this additional festive Thursford attraction.
