Here are the culinary details for the Thames Cruise:

Saturday 9th July ~ Informal buffet meal at Boveney Lock Island
I will send out a separate email asking each participating boat crew to bring a specific dish (savoury, salad or sweet) so we have an even distribution of food for the buffet.

Sunday 10th July ~ BBQ at Cookham Lock Island
The BBQ including desserts will be provided. If you will be participating please transfer £8.50 per person to the TSCC.

Monday 11th July ~ Evening meal at The Olde Bell, Hurley
This year we are ‘ringing’ the changes and our evening meal at Hurley will be at the Olde Bell who have given us a good price and where we will all be together in a semi-private dining area. Please make your selections from the attached menu and send to Jackie no later than Wednesday 29th June and by the same date please transfer your payment (£22.50 per person) to the TSCC.

Tuesday 12th July ~ Afternoon tea at Hurley Lock Island
A full afternoon tea with Pimms will be provided. Please transfer £6.50 per person to the TSCC bank account.

The TSCC Bank details are: Account name: TSCC, Sort Code: 40-35-40, A/c Number: 81467212 quoting “Thames” as the reference.

Please confirm those events at which you will be participating, let me have your menu selections for the Olde Bell and transfer the necessary funds for all events no later than Wednesday 29th June. Please email Pauline at treasurer@tscc.org.uk when you have transferred your payment.

This year, the finale of our annual Thames Cruise will be an evening at the Mill at Sonning where we will enjoy a two course meal followed by a production of Neil Simon’s much loved comedy Barefoot in the Park.

This event is open to all TSCC members and we do hope you will come and join us.

As you will see, we need to pay for the tickets no later than 18th March so your early confirmation would be appreciated.

Event postponed from 2021.

If you remember the funeral of Sir Winston Churchill you will remember this iconic image of his coffin being transported aboard the MV Havengore.

Please find attached details of the TSCC visit to the Middle Temple which is located very near to Temple underground station and therefore very easy to access.

We do hope you will join us for what promises to be a fascinating tour of this historic building and its grounds – plus the option to join us for lunch in the magnificent Elizabethan hall.

To secure the necessary places we need to make our booking reasonably soon.

We are so pleased that almost 50 TSCC members will be attending our Annual Dinner at Leatherhead Golf Club on Tuesday 6th December.

A couple of important reminders:

1) Annual Raffle – We will be having our usual annual raffle to raise money to help less fortunate youngsters and other deserving Scouting causes. Needless to say we are relying on you to bring the necessary prizes as well as cash to purchase lots of tickets!

2) Photographic Competition – The theme for this year’s competition is “The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee”. The photo can have been taken at any time during the year and does not have to be linked to a TSCC event. It would be great to have a bumper entry, especially since this will be our last such opportunity to celebrate our Queen. Please email your entry as a pdf attachment at the original file size to secretary@tscc.org.uk. Judging will be by popular acclaim on the evening of the dinner and the prize, as ever, is our magnificent glass trophy.
