This notice is to advise you that the TSCC AGM will take place on Sunday 7th January 2024 at Ajax Water Activities Centre, Ditton Reach, Thames Ditton, Surrey KT7 0XB, with arrival at 2.45pm for a 3.00pm start.

The Statement of Financial Activities for 2023, as signed off by our Independent Examiner, will be forwarded to you as soon as this is ready.

We do hope you will join us for our AGM when, as usual, there will also be the opportunity to chat and catch up with other members over a cup of tea or coffee and some light refreshments.

As ever, we will be relying on all members to bring along a contribution to the nibbles. Committee members will bring sandwiches and other members are requested to bring cakes and / or savouries. All contributions gratefully appreciated but if possible home-made would be fantastic. Tea and coffee will be supplied.

ATYC Spring Ball 2024

You are cordially invited to attend the 2024 ATYC Spring Ball on Saturday 24th February, held in the newly refurbished Richmond Hill Hotel in Richmond, Surrey. Located at the top of Richmond Hill with stunning views over the River Thames below.

Get together with your fellow Thames boaters at this annual social event.
Enjoy some fabulous food and a boogie until the early hours or perhaps a drink and a good natter in the bar if you've forgotten all your dance moves.

The evening will start with a pre dinner drink at 18:30hrs which is followed by a three course meal commencing at 19:00hrs. After dinner we will hear a talk by Rob Dorey (subject to be confirmed in due course).

Tickets are available at £65.00 per person. We will be selling these in the on-line shop on the ATYC website which will open later this month. If you would like to come along please register your interest by clicking the REGISTER HERE button below so that we can contact you when the ticket sales have gone live.

Back by popular demand this year are the mixed tables. If you want to make the most of getting to know people whilst at the event you can request to be seated at a mixed table with fellow boaters from other clubs. You can of course still choose to sit with your own club, simply select your preferred option during the booking process.

We do hope you will be joining us for our annual Fitting Out celebration, this year a lunchtime event at ‘A Casa’ Ristorante in Cobham. Full details are attached.

Five minutes drive from the M25 and with ample nearby parking, the restaurant is very easily accessed from any direction.

Again, we very much hope to see you on 19th March and look forward to hearing from you.

Dear All

Please find attached details of the TSCC ‘Night at the Races’ on Sunday 14th April, together with the necessary directions.  We do hope you will be joining us for a fun packed evening preceded by a home-made Shepherd’s Pie supper.

This will all be preceded by a CPR / Defib refresher session conducted by Mark Faulkner,  a Sea Scout, an Advanced Paramedic and the Deputy Clinical Director of the London Ambulance Service.  Mark is a leading expert on resuscitation and those who have heard him before will know that he is an incredibly engaging speaker.  Knowing how to carry out CPR / Defibrillation can mean the difference between life and death, and it is something everyone should know how to do. 

Again, we really do hope you will be joining us and, to assist with catering, we would appreciate your confirmation as soon as possible.

Please find attached details of day trip we are organising to visit the famous Highgate Cemetery, final resting place of many notable personages.

As you will see, the trip includes transport from Esher, a private guided tour of the cemetery, and a two-course lunch at a highly rated nearby French bistro.

We will, as in the past, be departing from Sandown Racecourse car park on Portsmouth Road, Esher where cars can be parked free of charge for the day.

Spaces are limited to one minibus and will be allocated on a ‘first come’ basis.

As you will see on page two of the attached flyer, for those who do not live near to Esher and would find it more convenient to travel by public transport, this is also an option.

We hope you will join us for this fascinating day out and look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
