SUMMARY:Guided tour of CLANDON PARK Restoration
DESCRIPTION:Dear All \nOn Saturday 2nd September we have in the calendar a guided tour of the Clandon Park restoration that is currently underway following the serious fire that damaged large parts of the building. \nThe National Trust has now confirmed that these tours will take place this autumn on Saturdays and Sundays only. \nUnfortunately\, they are only offering one tour per day starting at 11.00am and lasting around 45 minutes. \nThe maximum number on each tour is ten participants. Clearly this precludes the organisation of a guided tour for a larger group. \nIn these circumstances\, we are suggesting that those interested should book directly with the National Trust on a first come basis. \nThis can be done via the following link: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/surrey/clandon-park \nThe tour and entry to Clandon Park is free to National Trust members and £8.00 per person to non-members. \nAfter the guided tour you may like to picnic in the grounds\, something which is encouraged by the National Trust. \nThe only facilities currently on site are toilets. \nIf you do book for the tour on 2nd September please let us know and we will confirm which other members have also booked.  You will then be able to coordinate any picnic arrangements. \nIf you cannot get onto the Saturday tour we suggest booking for the Sunday tour. \nClearly this is not as we had hoped or planned but hopefully this proposed arrangement will allow those who are interested to take the tour – and hopefully to enjoy a convivial picnic afterwards. \nWith best regards \nMark \n
